Mrs Cavanaugh’s original Traditional Chocolate Assortment demonstrates our history and continued commitment to quality confections for over 50 years.

Experience the rich tradition of Mrs. Cavanaugh's Famous Chocolates with our Famous Traditional Assortment. This premium selection features a delightful variety of handcrafted treats, including creamy caramels, nutty clusters, decadent truffles, and silky-smooth creams, all available in both milk and dark chocolate. Perfect for chocolate lovers, this assortment is ideal for gifting or indulging yourself in the finest chocolates.

This popular assortment of silky-smooth chocolates is where it started and includes a nice variety of creams, cavaliers (cavalier), nut clusters, toffees, caramels, and truffles that will please every chocolate lover. This assortment includes approximately 20-24 delicious chocolates per pound (our chocolates are sold by weight, not by volume).

The specific chocolates included in our Famous Traditional Assortment are the following:  

Gregory (caramel and almonds), Toffee, Chocolate Dipped Caramel, Peanut Cluster, Rough Rum (rum creme covered in milk chocolate and roasted almonds), Chocolate Creme, White Trinidad (caramel and cashews covered in white chocolate), Cavalier (caramel and pecans), Almond Cluster, Haystack (toasted coconut blended with chocolate), Raspberry Creme, French Mint Creme, Stand-up Caramel, Brady (caramel and macaroon coconut), Mindy Mint Truffle, Maple Nut Creme, Marie (caramel and pecans covered in chocolate), Cherry Cordial, Orange Crème, Cherry Almond Crème, Lemon Crème, Apricot Crème (we may make substitutes on a rare occasion). 

Mrs. Cavanaugh's Traditional chocolate assorted box is available in milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or a mix of the two chocolates and is available in a variety of sizes.

    I am officially addicted! This is the best dark chocolate I've ever had. Just don't start eating it unless you're serious.

    Too many raspberry and maple creams for my taste. Chocolate mint selection is pretty good. Mrs. Cavanaugh's Response: Thank for being our customer and for taking the time to write a review. With our 1 lb Famous Traditional Assortment we only put one or two of each flavor. We are disappointed that there were two flavors that weren't your favorite; however, now you know what to put in your own create-a-box!     I buy chocolates from all over the country—DeBrands, Bissinger’s, Victoria’s, Josh Early, and more—but Mrs. Cavanaugh’s has to be my favorite! The quality is exceptional, with rich, smooth chocolate and perfectly balanced fillings. The size of each piece is incredibly generous, making every bite feel like a true indulgence. On top of that, the prices are very fair for such premium confections. If you love fine chocolates, Mrs. Cavanaugh’s is a must-try!

    Your chocolate are thickly coated on the outside. I was so impressed. They are nice big pieces. Take me three or four bites to eat one! And all of the various flavors were out of this world and the nuts you guys use were very very fresh investing with flavor. I love your chocolate.

    The Famous Traditional Assortment is very fresh and tastes delicious. The creams are a perfect consistency.I The mint cream was so good, however, orange creams are still our favorites. The caramels were rich in flavor. The Toffee was the best I've ever eaten. We have not finished the box so I can't comment on the yet to be eaten pieces. We are confident that the remaining pieces will be just as good. The wrapping paper is a high quality and very pretty. Whoever wraps the boxes does a beautiful job and pays attention to detail. Definitely looks like they take pride in there work.

    I have ordered items in many forms from Mrs. Cavanaughs and they have always been consistent with their great quality and taste. They are shipped very nicely as well. Very yummy chocolates!

    Loved my chocolates gifted to ME. I preferred dark over traditional but all were fresh especially ones that included nuts. Was delighted.
