First, this chocolate is my favorite from anywhere. The ability to do two tiers is wonderful as I can enjoy each side for a double pleasure

Split box
I love your chocolates, that said, it seems in a split box one gets fewer items probably because it’s difficult to fill a box due to shapes Mrs. Cavanaugh's Response: Thank you for your review! We sell everything by weight, so the only way it would have been fewer items would be if you had ordered heavier items.

halves
This was my first time to try this candy. It was unusually delicious. The orange chocolate was not over powered by the citrus flavor and chocolate covere d cherries were unusually rich and juicy
-
Mints
The mint chocolate is delicious

Dark chocolate covered creams
The dark chocolate is thick and creamy. The cream centers are good. Some more than others. I like the strawberry and raspberry best so far. Plan on going through them all.

Half Box Review
Since discovering this gem of a hand-crafted candy in the then Provo-Orem Mall in 1976 over 42 years ago, I or my former spouse have purchased Mrs. Cavanaugh's unique, hand-made chocolates, with the most recent purchase of a 1/2 & 1/2 box - arriving for my birthday within the past 15 days. I ordered 1/2 dark chocolate orange creams - my absolute favorite - and the other half with dark chocolate orange truffles, which I tried for the first time. With each bite, the orange creams were outstanding in taste, uniform in size, and melted slowly, allowing the true bold orange filling (like the potency of orange zest) explode in my mouth, leaving a wave of the smooth, rich, dark chocolate taste linger a little longer to enhance my indulgence. This should have been registered as a 5, as these decadent candies were exquisite - well beyond expectation! However, the orange truffles were a surprising disappointment to me. Upon my first bite, my taste buds detected a too heavy overtone - almost bitter - of the dark chocolate orange filling...with the smallest hint of a very dull or diluted orange flavor, which paled in comparison to the orange creams. Too, the truffles' outer coating had an almost greasy texture - not a very pleasant sensation as the first bite slithered down the back of my throat. I would have preferred rating this candy as a 3 because it was truly "off" in flavor, though well designed with the outer chocolate coating. The consistency of the inner filling seemed to be more like a fudge, though the piece also had a beautiful "waterfall" appearance, with the chocolate coating cascading smoothly over the rectangular shape. No matter - this will not deter me from ordering more of the dark chocolate covered orange creams in the future! On the contrary, the next order will be a full 1-lb box of those divine candies!!
