My sister and I have been on a never ending quest for the most perfect and most delicious CHERRY CORDIAL. We have tried Cherry Cordials from all over the world, even Belgium. We have been doing this since we were kids and we are now retirement age. So, trust me when I tell you that so far Mrs. Cavanaugh's Cherry Cordials both Milk and Dark Chocolate are the BEST. They are #1. The syrup they use is both tart and sweet with enough viscosity to call it a real Cherry Cordial and not a cherry cream. The traditional maraschino cherries are whole and not pieces and have the recognizable texture of a real maraschino cherries. It is NOT chocolate covered dried cherries that have become popular today. This is the real and traditional Cherry Cordial. The chocolate is delightfully generous. The chocolate shell (both milk and dark) sturdy enough to hold the precious contents in and the shell breaks in your mouth with a solid bite. If you to nibble the bottom corner and retrieve all the succulent liquid prior to the actual pop in the mouth, the chocolate shell is sturdy enough to maintain shape, unlike the other machine manufactured cordials that shatter with a nibble and squirts the syrup out toward anyone else in the same room and all over your hands and dry clean only sweater which ends up looking like you blew your nose on your cardigan. I know little about chocolate making but I do know that some factory made chocolate is really a chemical process that includes artificial what-not and fabricated what-ever. Mrs. Cavanaugh's is real chocolate. You can taste it. I ordered other traditional Christmas delicacies to try in this 8 section box they were all good. We sampled Marzipan, Sea Foam, and the Cherry Cordials, all with a mix of Milk and Dark chocolate. We are impressed by all of it and Mrs. Cavanaugh's will now be the chocolates of choice for our Holiday Tables and as our gifts when we visit relatives and friends both overseas and locally. I hope you try it because I know you will like it.

Most delicious cherry cordials ! Rum cream Pollyanna, covered in chocolate and chopped almonds are great! Marshmallow and Carmel Brittany so chewy and yummy! We LOVE MRS. CAVANAUGHS!
